It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.......

Okay, some people have been bugging me for a picture of my Christmas tree, so here it is!

Just wanted to post a picture of my beautiful angel Jason got me for my birthday--isn't it so pretty!?! I know it's really big, but I love it! It is a little bigger than Riley Kate-haha!

Breakfast with Santa

After a busy Friday of cookie tasting, playing with friends, and visiting with Santa, the Scarbrough crew got up early this morning for yet another meeting with Santa--breakfast with him!! The kids had so much fun!! They ate pancakes with Santa Claus, made gingerbread houses, played with friends, ate candy before lunch, and watched Christmas movies-all while still in their PJ's!! When you are 4 years old and 2 years old-I mean, does it get any better than that?

Cute picture of the kids with Santa Claus!! We are always glad to see him!!

Riley Kate liked Santa AKA "Sayunt" especially after he gave her 2 candy canes!!

Grayton and his buddy, Siva watching the movie very intensely!!
There were lots of kids there-all ages!

Riley Kate with her little buddy Brooksy--still holding her candy cane!!

Cookies, Cookies, and More Cookies!!

We went to a cookie swap yesterday, and both of the kids had an absolute ball!! What child would not like a buffet of every kind of Christmas cookie you can imagine? Of course, neither of them ate any supper, but who cares--it's the Holidays!! AND there was a very special guest-Santa Claus himself! He made an extra special last minute trip from the North Pole just to come and see us!! I was so excited that Riley Kate was not scared of Santa, or "Sayunt" as she calls him. In fact, she really liked him!!

Grayton's PDS Christmas Program

We are so proud of Grayton!! He did such a wonderful job in his school Christmas program!! He sang so well (which he did not inherit from either parent!!) and remembered all of the words and hand motions!! It was so cute!! There is nothing better than a children's Christmas program to get you in the Christmas spirit!!

Fun at Oxford park!!

So sorry--we are sooooo behind on blogging!! Our computer kind of bit the dust a few weeks back, but it has been fixed--woohoo praise the Lord!! These are some pics of us having fun at the park in Oxford!

After the birth of Grayton, Jason and I began running and became highly addicted!! I soon made my first jogging stroller purchase, The Tike Tech all terrain single jogger. It was wonderful until I needed another seat for Riley Kate. I got this Dreamer Design off of ebay, and I love it! I call it my freedom and my sanity because I can load up the kids and go running whenever I feel like it! The kids love to stroll. They usually ask to go. We have run several races just for fun--Delta Jubilee 5K, Juke Joint Festival 5K, St. Jude 1/2 Marathon, Double Decker 10K, 300 Oaks 10K, etc. We love to run and if there is a race we can make it to, we'll run it!! We are running about 4 to 5 miles a day now with long runs of 7 to 12 miles on the weekends!

Since Grayton's 1st birthday, I have ventured out a bit and started baking and creating my kid's birthday cakes each year. Also, I am the homeroom mother for Grayton's class, so I am trying to get creative with my baking. I am not very good at it, but it is so much fun!! If anyone has any new cute ideas, share them with me.
